Thank you for helping to save 14 million plastic bottles from landfill

RE-VIVE Recycled Fabric

Trutex has worked alongside a specialist recycling company to develop a 100% recycled polyester twill fabric for blazers, trousers and skirts, which provides a sustainable change for the better. This innovative fabric is made from certified 100% recycled post-consumer polyester yarns and provides a sustainable range of uniform for boys and girls.

Each blazer saves 36 plastic bottles and each pair of trousers, and each skirt saves 19 plastic bottles. So when you buy a Trutex RE-VIVE garment, not only are you getting Trutex's famous 'Made to Last' quality, but you are contiributing to saving millions of plastic bottles from landfill each year.

How is our RE-VIVE fabric made?

Plastic bottles are put into bales, flaked and then de-polymerised before being re-polymerised to make recycled chips. These chips can be used for a wide variety of recycled polyester products; the chips for our fabric are melted down then extruded to form a fine polyester yarn, then woven into a durable fabric. The result is a material that’s just as able to withstand the rigours of daily life but with the added benefit of helping us nurture the future of our planet.
